LEGGGO 2013

Okay 2012 you can leave now! This year had its ups and downs, tears and laughs, heartbreaks and love, end of friendships and new friendships.

WOW! I honestly don’t know where to start.

January:: I turned 20! Countdown to 21 starts now!

FAST FORWARD A FEW MONTHS

March:: Spent spring break in AZ with my brothers and grandparents. I got to take my brothers on the plane for the first time, something special because I love to fly. My grandparents surprised me slowing me to go skydiving. I had an amazing helper, who made me fun and worth every minute.

FAST FORWARD AGAIN

Summer:: Going to the family vacation with my best friend and my family. Swimming with dolphins, getting stranded in the ocean-getting saved by the coast guard, going to my favorite city NEW ORLEANS (I will be back soon-thr city just keeps calling my name)!

LOST A DEAR FRIEND:: JUSTIN J- You were truly amazing, the one that I can go to talk to and no matter how upset I am-you were the one that could make me laugh. You gave the best warm hugs that actually meant something when you gave them away. There are days that I wish I could go to heaven for one and talk.  Every time I go somewhere there is something that reminds me of you just like your MOONSHINE! You died doing the one thing you love, the one thing I hate the most-BULL RIDING! We talked all day every day when you went to bull riding school. I am sooooo happy to be able to call you my best friend! I MISS YOU JUSTIN! I can’t wait till I get to see you again!

FAST FORWARD AGAIN

August:: MY CAR GOT STOLEN BUT FOUND!

September-November:: Several events that showed me who my true friends are. And I am appreciative, thankful for them. It even showed me to rely on my family for the true love and support.

LOST A DEAR FRIEND:: MIZZOU- our family german shepherd- had to be put down. I got her when I was in second grade. I came home from the state fair with a friend and my uncle brought her home and we decided to keep her. She ran into the school-all over the school, skinned a rabbit-whose owner was in my class in 3rd grade, so kind and gentle. My best friend. LOVE YOU ZOU!

December:: the house I lived in for 20 years sold, many trips to the doctor for my knee, met new friends at a 21st birthday party-maybe even something more…, signed up for school again.

2013 pleaseeee be better!
Much love

Merry Christmas Eve from the lady with WHITE hair!

HO HO HO::

No its not snowing...yet! But yet I still have white hair (I am a natural red head).

hmmmmmmm....

As I was getting ready for the Christmas Eve Service at church. I am always ALWAYS running late.
I cannot decide what to do with my hair or what to wear. I have maybe 10 minutes left before we have to leave. I need hairspray! I need to buy some actually. So I went to my grandma (she had a good stash of Big Sexy products going on). I go in front of the mirror but I was reading a text message my friend sent me. Still spraying my hair (I LIVE ON HAIR SPRAY-MY HAIR IS SOOOO THICK)! I finally look in the mirror after several text later. And see WHITE!
My grandma forgot to used up all the hair spray yesterday and only had pump up root. So needless to stay I did not have time to wash my hair (to me the worst hair do of all times).

I tried my best to get it all into my hair and hope no one will see it. HAHA was I wrong. This old little lady came up to me to wish me a Merry Christmas and tell me that I still had white stuff on the back right of my head. Ooops! Thank you lady for pointing it out to me.

After all this was done my dad and mom and the best laugh of this year and called me Mrs. Claus and maybe their whole live!

Washing my hair 5 times later...
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Safe Travels!
And much love-

PS:: I want to thank our soldiers for fighting for our freedom and who cannot come home for the holidays. You all are in our prayers for a safe return to your family and friends. God Bless!!

Pass the Word!

Hello:::

As I was creeping (not being weird) I found this wonderful lady Ashley, who has set up a GREAT fundraiser for the victims of Sandy Hook.

As a lot of us we wonder how we can offer a hand of help to the community of Newtown from a distance. I am one of those. This is a wonderful gift, that I am happy to donate too! Ashley, I cannot thank you enough for coming up with a wonderful idea.

We can all admit that we were scared at night because of the darkness. I am for one can raise my hand and wave it around jumping up and down, I was soooo scared of the dark. And with everything that happened in sad sad Sandy Hook nightmare, the darkness, nightmares, that they will have for days, weeks, months and even years. Its heart-breaking.
**I dont have kids but when my brothers who are in 3rd grade came home, I hugged them. I wanted to go get them from school. I can't imagine my life without no matter**
Ashley's goal is to have a little light that will shine for the community of Newtown when they are in the darkness. And with the hope of the light they will know that everything will be okay and that they are not alone.

Ashley is collecting nightlights that she has designed a special logo "Lights and Love for Sandy Hook" to put on them. You can go check it out on her page.

She will be collecting them until January 11th!

Share this post. Go visit her site. And please help the families, friends and community of Newtown.

until next time

Ohhh....HEY!

Howdy Y'all!

Its been a while since I been on here. I felt lonely not knowing what is going on with the fellow bloggers.  All I know is December better hurry up and 2013 better be GOOD!

0. I woke up and found snow on the ground. I love a white Christmas, but after that the snow can melt. I hate the cold! Where are you Summer? (in the tune of Where Are You Christmas by the lovely Faith Hill).

1. My computer charger broke...started to send out sparks! When I bought my new computer a year ago, I saved my last computer cord to use. Well short story I can't find my other charger (somewhere in a box in storage)! So I finally had to go out and buy one. {Give me a couple days and the other charger will show up!

2. Months ago I was running up the stairs and POP! I fell on my right knee...ouch! I didn't think anythng of it and started to run again. My goel is to run in a 10k this coming year. Well my knee has been giving me problems (I honestly didn't think anything of it due to I asked my sister who is  nurse and she said she has the same knee problem). Well this past week it got 3x its size and very tender//is that makes sense. So finally my parents forced me to go into urgent care.

3. The house I grew up in. The house that built me. The house I have ever known. ITS SOLD!
My heart aches...literally. Call me a baby, this is so hard to watch my parents sign the papers. But I know there is other houses out there but come on. How do people just pick up and move?

much love!
safe travels everyone!

Oouch...ouch....OUCH

HEY HEY HEY!!

Soooo in my small town there is this guy who is I would say in late 60s riding his bike or running (RAIN or SHINE...DEDICATION). As I look out my window I always tell myself that I am going to start tomorrow or the next day. Does it happen??? NOPEEE! I will admit it I am a LAAZZZZzzzzzy DAAZZZZzzzzzy! And just need him to coach me…seriously!

My weakness is reading so many blogs. STOP! WAIT! That is not a weakness that is my strength. (Is that creepy) oh well! I ran into this wonderful lady Mel over at 4kottez.blogspot.com.  GO VISIT HER AFTER YOU FINISH READING..of course J She runs all the time if I was closer I would say running buddies-HAHA but I would probably slow her down at first.

Before I went to college I literally went on a walk/jog. But since I went to college the party life got to me (cheap beer and junk food=freshmen 15…blah) So today I went for a run. YES a run, and it hurt like hell. I ran in the Color Run 5K over the summer!

If anyone of you decided to walk/run it, you will have sooooo much FUN! But that motivate me to do more races, even if I don’t care about my place. My sister wants to do a marathon (Ha my buddy just aches to hear that word). For the people that can run it, CONGRATS! I wish I had your body and legs so I could. So tonight I decided that I want to run in a 10k (6.2 miles) that’s not so bad right??.....Well maybe if I was trained for it. I planned out my workout schedule and told myself that I cannot quit.

SO HERE HERE TO RUNNING! AND GOOD LUCK TO MYSELF
Much Love-

⚓ Meaning of something more ΔΓ

As I checked the wonderful world of Facebook, I realized that a lovely group of girls pledged their life to one of the greatest fraternity since 1873. We were founded by three amazing ladies over Christmas break when they could not go home, and if I could go back in time I would love to “thank them”. The pledge class of 2010, we came into DELTA GAMMA with open arms and warm hugs. Running to them on bid day was one of my favorite memories from that I know I would find my best friends that several people talk about having in college. And this is just the start of it, yes we had some rough moments in our fraternity but we all do, we had some fights, tears, laughter, loss of girls (dropping), the nasty evil plague (the flu). I learned what the true meaning of being a DELTA GAMMA and I am so pleased that tonight the girls of DELTA OMEGA signed the book for life, (haha just like John Hancock the famous signature). I was adopted by the world’s best mama Shelby, since my first one dropped but no matter what those girls who did dropped, I still considered them as sisters (once a sister always a sister)--{they stood up for us and made our chapter stronger no matter what one women says}.
** Being an Alumni is means a whole new meaning knowing it’s just not a house to live in, a way to get the frats to like me it’s being a part of something more. And that’s the important anchor as we support the individuals who are visually impaired as well our new service to support our men and women in the military.**

Article II: "The object of this Fraternity shall be to foster high ideals of friendship among college women, to promote their educational and cultural interests, to create in them a true sense of social responsibility and to develop in them the best qualities of  character."

And no matter where I go I know I will have a light to shine my way back to the values, friendships, love and support from DELTA GAMMA! –HOT DAMN DELTA GAMM!!

Congrats to the ladies who pledge DELTA GAMMA. You are in for the best time in your life during and after your college years. I wish you all the best especially heading into finals week. DO GOOD!

Feel the Positive Vibes!

HI Y'ALL! I hope you all had a GREAT day. Today again I was in shorts and a tshirt. This weather needs to stay-I am NOT dreaming of a white Christmas (actually I only want a white Christmas Eve and Christmas Day then it can go away...until next time).

After hearing the news over and over and over again (yes I live on FoxNews) and hearing all about Princess Kate. I am so happy for them. She is going to be one adorable prego mama as well as a fantastic mama. I see Mama Diana in her. CONGRATS KATE & WILLIAM!

-I know that I am almost 21 but about ¼ of the girls in my graduating class or more is having babies and I am still young to me and not married but utterly. I love babies and getting that baby fever going on but this too shall pass-

My next topic as we are on the Royals, where is Prince Harry. I truly miss him and action. His actions makes him who is he and sometimes I wish people would stop judging him. To me I think Diana would be happy that her son is having fun in life (we do only live on..hahah YOLO)! Prince Harry this is your invite to come to Missouri and hang out with me…SERIOUSLY! Then we can get married (redheads have to stick together, since test has shown that in 100 years or so red hair will no longer be…unless you dye it and that’s not fun {sorry for the people who do}).

Keeping the positive vibes going…Did you guys first watch The Voice, those 4 people are amazing. And then having Ne-Yo on singing my favorite song right now just makes this day even better.  Singing  is one talent that I wish I had. I also like watching the different styles of hairs from XTina. I always thought about going to hair school but I always put that on hold because my family wanted me to have an actually degree-which I am fine with.

Then we have the Victoria Secret Fashion Show (SHUT THE FRONT DOOR)! Wasn’t that just UUUUHH-MAZING!?! Those girls are amazing and I adore their outfits. And remind me I need to get back into shape and maybe go on a diet-I NEED JULLIAN MICHAELS-again being serious! I have well I did I lost the dvd but one of her exercise ones and she kicked my ass...which i shouldnt be complaining. DAMN YOU MODELS! Soooo I didn’t really have a favorite outfit this time. And the singers were soooo good too. I just love Bruno Mars anyway-I would LOVE to see him in concert. **Bucket list material**

BREAKING NEWS:: As i wrap up I just wanted to say that I am almost to 100 views on my blog. (hey its the first step/milestone..right?) When I first started this my dad was giving me crap and said I wouldnt make it. And everyday he always ask me how many views. And i just proved him wrong-And he is one of those guys who HATE that! -HAHA Love you DAD!

P.S. Today one of my best friends (yes we have had our fights, up, and downs, rights, and lefts) started to apply for law schools. He is so smart, funny, strange, and a good brother (even though you are the only boy). I know you will go far in life and know you will get into the schools you want. GOOD LUCK SNOTFACE!
Today has been a great day!
Until Next Time-

Life brings us a Roof over our HEADS and HEART!

Grab your Kleenex’s! I promise these stories are going to be tied together. I hope somehow or somewhere y’all can relate to them because tonight this has hit me the hardest.

1.James from the Next Great Baker shared a hard story for us, the day he found out that he had one hell of amazing opportunity and that was to be on Buddy Carlos The Next Great Baker (how freaking awesome that is, if I was talented like them I would jump on it) but the same day he found out he has a brain tumor. It was so sad. I literally was in tears. I feel for him and his family as they go into this battle (because it does suck).
-James I hope surgery went good, and everything is fine. Your family is in my prayers!

2. I also received a phone call from my best friend. I seriously don’t know what I would do without her. She is my go to person, the person that completes my craziness, one on that can finish my sentence; we are two peas in a pod. Her mother called and told her that her Aunt Patty received news that she has breast cancer (cancer can go f**k itself right in the a*s)!

Today is National Roof Over Our Heads…(something like that). And today I am so thankful for the roof over my head. To me my roof is many covered buildings in many places. My first is my home that I lived in for almost 21 years, but yes it’s time to move on. And I am ready.
My second is my grandparents’ house who can see my old house (hint its only ½ block away-playing in the back yard we knew if my grandpa was mowing, or if they had company—we are not creepers its loveJ)
The third is the house that is right next to my old, when I was in 6th grade this weird girl (she was in 4th grade) and her parents moved in. I didn’t think they would stay long since many people usually moved in and moved out. After years and years they are still there and I couldn’t be happier. They are my second family, my second mom, another strict dad-haha and my little sister that I never had. During those years we received bad news Mama B had lung cancer (during this time we were told she would only have so many weeks to live). It broke us all, we didn’t know what to do, what to say, it was AWFUL! After years (AND I MEAN YEARS) of fighting, we BEAT THE S.O.B.! **BOOOOM TAKE THAT CANCER** 5 years of being cancer free (yes we have had our scares but each time it brings us closer and strong together as one family even though we are just neighbors, which I truly LOVE). Well this past year we received awful news again.  This time it went to her BRAIN, which is probably the hardest one to beat to me. This time we were told she wouldn’t make it to the middle of September or even that. So my mom and I helped her and got her whatever she wanted to start to prepare-her wishes. I hated it because I felt like she gave up on me and her daughter. Several days I would take her to radiation, make sure she was eating because her daughter left for boot camp and she didn’t know because they wanted to tell her in person, which we all respected. After September approached she was in good spirits and guess what we are in December and she is due for her last Chemo next week and then we go to see where we are standing. She is stronger, back to her normal self and I couldn’t be happier! We had our goal going in with our guns blazing because cancer pissed us off and we weren’t going to be bullied.

~If you have a loved one who has cancer, I understand the stress and the tears but stay strong and know that no matter where you are I am praying that someday we can cure this bully~

My fourth place-roof over my head and final place is my first year of college where I spent in the DELTA GAMMA sorority house at William Woods University. Yes, it was hard leaving in a place with 40+ plus women but it was wonderful I couldn’t be happier with my choice and going Greek.

HOT DAMN DELTA GAMM YOU KNOW WHO THE FUCK I AM!

During this stay I received a mom who I totally love (she adopted me so I joke around with her about the true love) and my best friend whose Aunt received the news. Both their families are my family. My sorority mom mom baked me a cake for my birthday when I was homesick and I couldn’t take my car out due to the massive snow we received.  And then my BFF whose mom gave us boy advice and sister who allowed us to stay in her STL downtown apartment which I loved! I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I know I did not mention everyone on my sorority but I will in later days because each girl in our house makes us unique and made each of us stronger through all our events. No matter how old, the mold-which was gross, water leaks the house was amazing because it WAS a roof over my head with women that is soooo supportive. ITB

I hope everyone has a wonderful day
NO matter what is going on in life stay STRONG and BELIEVE!
Xoxoxoxoxoxo

P.S. I am in LOVE with this weather, wearing shorts and t-shirts all day is heaven. Sorry dreaming of a white Chirstmas, I can pass you and go straight to spring and summer again.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HI! First off Happy Thanksgiving, I wish everyone a safe travels. As I got online I saw a news story in Texas about the car pileup. I grieve to those families who lost loved ones as well as all the other people who were involved and hurt. Also THANK YOU to the men and women serving our country and the men and women working here to keep everyone safe (police, firefighter, etc...)!

Yesterday my family and I went to the zoo (I felt like a kid again, not leaving the cats alone…seriously my favorite animal) I just love the zoo! Then watched fireworks to kick off the season (listening to Christmas music is my favorite plus hearing AMAZING people sing and dance was great too since I can’t do either  L ), it was sooo much fun to just relax and have fun with the family.

Polar Bear paws maybe big but I seriously could curl up and cuddle with them!

He was a sleep till I said "Kitty Kitty." He got up and looked at me and opened his mouth. ( I think to scare me haha)

The FIREWORKS!

The sunset over the lake!

Then today my grandma and dad made a terrific turkey thanksgiving lunch. My grandma decorated the table and it seriously was PERFECT! We watched the parade on T.V. (that is something on my bucket list to see). When the turkey was finally ready (I am giving notice to my future husband, I am a HORRIBLE cook, for some reason none of the children really got Dad’s side of the great cooking  gene) and gave grace then shared what we were thankful for. Most was Family, my brothers said football and food (typical 9 year olds) and since everyone said family I went with animals (they are a part of the family).
Grams also made this runner and this is at both ends. I didnt get her talent to sew or knit either :(

My grandma made turkeys!

The local cat mid-meow. I had turkey and milk for him. (Grandma's orders)

Till next time,
xoxo

I don't know what to call this one.

Hi everybody! So I thought maybe that I could keep up with this blog but it hasn’t happened yet its "I’m too tired or I’ll do it tomorrow"...which never happens. So this week has had its up and downs and tomorrow is an up. My family is going to the zoo and then watching fireworks for Thanksgiving, its moments like this I LOVE! Earlier I was on Pinterst (my favorite site) and many people had shared some family quotes. What’s not perfect about sharing family quotes? I know we all have our differences in what family means to them, we are all far from perfect…right? I found this and I thought this describes my family since we are all unique but come together with support, hugs, and love and this is truly the best blessing I am thankful for.
We laugh and learn,
Pray and protect,
Apologizes and appreciates,
Dreams and discovers,
Fights and forgives,
Teases and trusts,
Gives and grows,
Believes and belongs,
LOVE AND LAST FOREVER BECAUSE WE ARE ONE!
I always watched Disney movies with my sister (my favorite thing to do) and one of them has always stuck with me about the word family in the movie Lilo and Stitch -Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. I can’t describe how THANKFUL I am to have grown up with mine. Over the years I really have grown and understood its FAMILY that keeps you going with love, support and will be holding my hand for the rest of my life, when I need it the most no matter what.

Happy Thanksgiving week!
xoxo

Double T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!!

In my family for some reason there is always 2 boys and a girl in the age divison. For me I have my cousin Tyler and cousin Max. Tyler and I have always been close, he would come down over the summer for a week for a vaca. And during that week I couldnt tell you how many time we got in trouble (probably more than both our fingers and toes combined...but thats what cousins are made for...right?) and I would have to blame him for most of it...he is a boy ;) and I was saving myself because at this time its one man for himself. For instance, the town I grew up in was really small (everyone was in your grill with their noses waiting for something to happen) well the fair was in town and littlery the fair is just 2 block streets, one road, well we were so into playing the games we took out all my savings (the bank allowed it too without my parents permission...to this day I dont understand because we were only 8 years olds) in the end we used up over $100 on games...only games...and still didnt win a big stuffed animal. Today Tyler turned 21. Happy Day of Birth to him!!!! I wouldn't trade having rock sells (yes rocks to make money to buy candy), picking flowers because they were Cheifs fans (sorry we are Saints Fans...we thought it was a good idea at the time and we did write them a sorry letter), giving Nelson (Grams German Shepard dog) all the hot dogs the family was going to have for dinner so we could swim in her pool. trying to hook me up with his neighbor friend (horrible horrible horrible idea...did I mention HORRIBLE). Even as we get older we still make the best out of the times we are together. I wouldnt trade the memories or you for anything. Love you Ty!
-Forever yours Al.
(sorry about the photobomb haha easier than scanning it in)

Do you have a family member that you were close with that got you in trouble but always till made the best out of everything?
XOXO

Neewbie

Stoop kid afraid to leave (her) stoop.” –Hey Arnold

Okay folks. I am a neewbie to this whole “blog world” which somewhere between fear and love I did fall in love with it just a tiny bit…okay maybe most of my heart. After read different several blogs (I am not a creep I swear J) I gained more motivation to start my own. I hope I get some followers and make some friends while I am here. And on that note I promise I will try and not bore anyone of you.
