My-Oh-My

IT’S ALEX! (As I say this mocking the movie The Shining)

I’m sorry for the lack of getting on here it has been a crazy several months since I been on here. I understand I broke my last promise to blog more but here I am getting ready to start blogging again. I honestly do not know where to start…..

Months have passed by slow and fast, each one having its own up and down but I made it through each one. As November is here, the last weekend of October a group of my friends, my boyfriend and I went to Hermann, MO for Octoberfest. If you haven’t been there it is gorgeous especially in the fall while the leaves are changing.

The wine at every winery was amazing! I enjoyed all the taste testing from the dry to the sweet wines. That is my favorite thing to do now that I am twenty-one. It is a BLAST!!

Enjoy the photos.

Until Next Time-

IM BACK!

HELLLOOOO BLOG-WORLD!

I made a goal to blog every day or at least every other day….HAHA that did not happen. Sorry I have abandoned this. But now I am back! YAY!

So let’s to a little catching up in my life:: MAJOR EVENTS

In December I went to see one of my best friends, to meet her boyfriend and celebrate his birthday…well short story I met a boy! YES I MET A BOY!

January:: I TURNED 21!! I would like to thank my family and friends for making it the best! Love you all! I went to the casino-not a big fan. My dad had to help blow out the candles with me haha yes that Jack was my first LEGAL purchase! The cashier made me feel so little telling me it was not a big deal to be "21!" My friend even marked my birthday and thr weekend i came up to celebrate with him! Thanks Dyl! Big thanks to Britt for taking care of me!!

February:: Spending more time with the boy (his new nickname). We became official after months of talking on the 20. This was he V-Day present the letter had a cute poem that used the candy and some of the whiskey!
Also, my neighbor, my second mother, the one i could talk to, go watch Ellen and the Food Network with, spend my friday nights listening to music, bitching, laughing and just having fun--passed away from cancer. She was a fighter for years she has beat the damn thing twice in her lungs. But it came back in her brain. It was hard. I took her to the doctors, spent most of my days with her. The battle was hard, long and tough. The doctors gave us a time limit but we shoulf them how tough a small but mighty lady was. We had our guns blazin with fight not backing down! I miss you soooo much mama B! I wish you could meet the boy and bitch me with a rum and coke in our hand!  But I know you are up there in heaven sitting by John Wayne talking about Westerns looking down at us. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

March:: First weekend I went to see him, he was sick L then the following weekend he turned 23! So we celebrated in STL with his friends and some of his family. It was overall a good night! I was sick all last week with the flu, I thought I was really lucky that I have not catch the stupid bug but then I did. It was HELL!!

This past weekend, I stayed home with the family, to recover from the flu. It is nice to not travel and laugh. My brother had his last soccer game indoor at KC.

Then today I hope everyone had green on! My family went out to eat, I cherish these moments that I get to spend time with everyone, grandparents included.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a Monday!
IM ON SPRING BREAK!
UNTIL NEXT TIME!
XOXO

Strangers to Sisters

I have to tell you all how LUCKY I am to have one amazing person in my life! I just got off the phone with her and just talking to her turned my gloomy day into something cheerful.

This is our love story::
We went off to college and were roommates. I went a public school for all 13 years and well she went to a catholic school (I thought she was a bitch and she didn’t like me with the only words being HI). We both cried to our moms, begged them to come get us but like always moms know best! After sitting in our room for an hour not speaking, she goes and starts to color looks up at me and offers me to color. And off course I did, I had nothing better to do. In days we went everywhere together, we were inseparable. Few weeks later we rushed DELTA GAMMA.

Both of us had no idea what house we got into and promised to be friends no matter what house we got into. But we didn’t have to worry about that since we got into the same house; we picked each other as roommates and BOOM our love grew stronger!

Months pasted and we were both unhappy at the school both decided to transfer next year. Well she did and I didn’t (a semester later I did). Even though we were hours away and not in the same town we still contacted each other every day. She text/call me when I didn’t want to go to school (NOTE:: NEVER TRANSFER AGAIN)!

Brittany went on my family vaca, and I couldn’t be happier. She made it enjoyable. Britt is the one I call when I am crying to turn my tears into laughter, my broken-heart to mendable, the shoulder to cry on and to lean on when drunk, and my fears into goals. She is the one to drink with me in my closet since it wasn’t allowed in the rooms, one to hold my hair when I got sick, and the one that played mom when I was homesick and the damn snow kept me stuck. She is the one that I can call at 4am just to talk even though she has to wake up in two hours for work.--TRUE FRIEND RIGHT THURRR!

It is the friends you can call up at 4 a.m. that matter.  ~Marlene Dietrich

All today I been in the funk, maybe it’s the snow, maybe it’s because the sun didn’t come out, I don’t know why…So I decided to call Brittany and when I wanted to cry tonight she STOPPED the tears and maybe them into laughter tears. I am seriously grateful for this woman. She is soooo driven in everything she does. I know that she will go far. She had so much motivation and determination (CAN I PLEASE HAVE YOUR MOTIVATION)!

The quote:: You don’t go through college to find your husband, you go to find your bridesmaids- fits Brittany and I. We have been through our own ups and downs but no matter what the crisis is we remind each other that we can get through it with the love, support of our each other and our friendship.

THIS IS MY BEST FRIEND!
And I LOVE HER TO DEATH!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  HELLO 2013!!!

I decided as I was waiting for the ball the drop I started this blog without a clue what I am doing (still am) but I want a fresh start is in need for 2013. -so lets go

My new name A Flamingo Tale:: means so much to me! Over the past years besides the cat family,
the flamingo family has really grew on me.

My freshmen year of college, I walked home from the bar drunk with some of my sisters, and as I passed the trash can to this house (yes, it was trash night) there was a flamingo- that you would put in a yard but it had a problem it had no legs! I still loved it anyway so I carried it home and put in a nail in the wall to hang it up. It was my pride possession.  Thats how my love for flamingos came around.

I decided to Bing to see what other meanings are held behind of the calm, relax bird and it fit me to a T!

One website stated "Flamingos are bright, very social animals who are very family oriented. Both birds in the species are responsible for nesting and care of the young. Flamingo people tend to be vibrant, outgoing, and even flirtatious. Flamingos display amazing balance often standing on one foot and pulling the other close to the body to maintain body heat. Flamingo people are also well-balanced and resourceful - not letting anything go to waste....Flamingo appears to encourage you to be more vibrant and social, to truly enjoy the company of others and take time out to play. Flamingo people need the social structure of groups and do very well as community organizers or group leaders. Their natural charm, coupled with their ability to take on and share responsibilities equally, make flamingo people great team mates and partners."

I can't wait to see what happens this year with this blog!

Sending my love
